I immigrated with my 3 children from Wollongong Australia (a city about 70km south of Sydney on the east coast) in 2016 and have lived in Edmonton since that time.  While I do miss the beaches and the ocean I love my Canadian home, especially those beautiful rocky mountains.  Our family has a gorgeous doggo named Bluey, he’s an Aussie x Husky who we are all completely in love with, and he gets far too many treats for just being cute. I love nothing more on the cold winter evenings here than to indulge in some classic English literature either by re-reading a favourite or watching a new, or old screen adaptation.

I promise I’m not as boring as I sound and definitely like o get out and socialize as well 🙂

Much of my career has been heavily focused developing and managing community based programs for families raising young children.  The past several years I have been working in the not for profit sector in Downtown Edmonton at the Wellness Network, a peer supported mental health service model.  I recently started in a new role with the Government of Alberta in the Child Care Transformation and Strategy Branch. I feel like I’m returning to a sector I’ve always been truly passionate about.  I’m really excited to be able to support Next Chapter as a member of the Board of Directors.
