Darlene Kowalchuk joined the Next Chapter Society team as Interim Executive Director in July 2022 while Lauren is away on maternity leave.  Darlene brings with her many years of non-profit leadership, fundraising, communication and marketing and organizational change skills. Having recently ‘retired’ from another charity within the Jerry Forbes Centre for Community Spirit (Next Chapter Society’s home base office), Darlene was a perfect choice to continue to grow Next Chapter Society’s vision and strategic plan while Lauren is away.

In her spare time she enjoys the amazing theatre in Edmonton, volunteering and spending time with friends exploring the vast cultural culinary scene in Edmonton.
